Today is one of those days where my body feels like lead or like I'm trying to move through water. It coincides with the amazing thunderstorm and impressive lightning show going on right above our house (at least it feels that way).
As a kid, I loved sitting outside on our back deck listening to the rain and rumbling thunder. I also remember days when I was either sick, or just as a special treat, spending all day in my pajamas. Today, rather than seeing my relegation to my bed (which is why I'm posting from my phone) as something bad, I am choosing to embrace it as a special treat.
I officially declare today Pajama Day!
Will you celebrate it with me? Grab your favorite pair of jammies, a cup of coffee, a good book, your furry friend, or whatever else makes you feel content and pampered. Then crawl into bed or grab your blankie and curl up on the couch, and enjoy looking after yourself. You have every right to!
